Our guest speaker for September's Educational Luncheon is Dave Brown and he will be talking to us about:

"Available Options for Distressed Homeowners"

David Brown has over 20 years of wide-ranging experience providing legal representation in real estate matters, including extensive experience in residential loan issues that spans more than 17 years. He has more than 10 years of experience representing lenders and investors in foreclosure proceedings and as creditor representative in bankruptcy. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac - the two largest owners of residential loans-are among the many investors he has represented. David's foreclosure and creditor representation experience has been supplemented by several years providing legal advice to purchasers and sellers in residential real estate transactions. In resolving the complex legal issues he confronted practicing in both of these areas, David developed a comprehensive understanding of the loans that are at the core of the current housing crisis. He has spent the past few years giving distressed homeowners advice about their options. His extensive experience in both loan origination and lender representation issues and his thorough knowledge of the programs available to assist borrowers allows him to take a uniquely-informed approach to the negotiation of loan modifications and short sales on behalf of borrowers. He also advises homeowners about the bankruptcy option and provides bankruptcy representation.
